Hala Bahrain signs agreement to support clients and encourage tourism
Muharraq, Bahrain: 14 August 2018: Hala Bahrain signed an agreement with the Association of Bahrain Travel & Tour Agents (ABTTA) to provide tourists or small groups visiting Bahrain with meet and greet packages that ensure a warm welcome to the Kingdom. Hala Bahrain Director of the Board Ayman Zainal and ABTTA Chairman, Jehad Ameen signed the agreement during a ceremony at the Hala Bahrain lounge at Bahrain International Airport (BIA).
Comprised of leading Bahrain-based travel and tour agencies, the ABTTA plays a key role in training Bahrainis for the travel and tourism sector. It actively works to develop and promote travel and tourism opportunities in Bahrain and frequently collaborates with the government and local travel and tourism bodies to further this objective.
Under the agreement, ABTTA members that provide Hala Bahrain’s services to their customers will pay minimal fees on packaged services, including meet and greet on arrival at BIA whereby visitors will be fast tracked through all airport formalities, and connected to a tour guide at the Arrivals waiting area.
Ayman Zainal said: “Most tourists form opinions about a country as soon as they arrive at the airport, which is why we pride ourselves on making a good first impression that reflects the warm hospitality Bahrain is known for. One of the Airport Modernisation Programme’s main goals is to ensure that BIA is an attractive and welcoming destination. Hala Bahrain mission is to help in achieving this by providing a convenient service that makes the airport experience pleasant, stress-free, and seamless. The agreement with the Association of Bahrain Travel & Tour Agents is in line with Hala Bahrain’s efforts to promote the Kingdom as a tourism destination and support clients that avail its services.”
Mr Ameen said: "Signing this agreement is a great gesture because it will benefit ABTTA members and encourage local tourism. Attracting a greater number of tourists is one of the association’s main goals, which we are seeking to improve through regular member meetings. This agreement will simplify arrival procedures for tourism groups and save them time and effort thanks to the exceptional level of service offered by Hala Bahrain, which reflects the friendly nature of the Kingdom's people.”
Hala Bahrain also offers lounge, concierge, and CIP (Commercially Important Person) handling services as well as various airside and landside transportation solutions that aim to improve the overall airport experience.
